Press Release Summary = 'Tis the season for the fashionistas to gather and flock about into what is destined to be "what is in or what is out" for Spring'07. By "ohhing and ahhing" at all the collections being strut down the runway, I can summarize that Spring will embrace all the colors of the rainbow. However there is a tendency to stick to earth tones. Also some designers, like Nicole Miller, Jay McCarroll, and the Perry Ellis line, centered on black and white, grays, with splashes of yellow and orange. Some designers wowed audiences with what seem to be another theme to be seen in Spring: oversized and bold accessories. What will be definitely "out" in Spring are animal prints and what will be "in" are floral and symmetrical patterns. Although there are many generalities that can be made on what is expected, these are nevertheless some of the up and coming designers gaining great attention.

Brazilian-born Alexandre Herchcovitch launched his collection in 1994. His vision in the early years had been the freaky constructions of molded rubber and gargantuan sequins. He has now moved into the aggressively cheerful floral frocks. His own signature is quirky chic and Herchcovitch's pieces are definably loud and brash but always fun to watch-or wear, depending how your phobias apply to pattern and print. One distinguishing feature of this season's collection is the accessories, the bold rings used as bracelets, necklaces and even as belts. Amazing! Loris Diran\'s Spring 07 Collection was breath-taking, smart and witty. His collection focuses on the value of cut, fabrication, and application of hand finishing techniques. Most designers like to focus on either women's wear or men's, but Diran mentioned that it only makes sense for him to design women's wear as well as men's: \"One should not design women's without men's\" or vice versa. Diran\'s collection uses soft and ethereal color palette of grays, tans, lavender and aqua. Diran's men's suits are extremely tailored and sharp, utilizing cashmere, linen, satin, and wool. The women's garments are elegant and graceful. Favorite pick is a beautiful chiffon mod lavender blossom blouse with cotton/ silk voile piped skirt. Absolutely lovely. Naeem strengths can be seen in his evening gowns which consist of simplicity, elegance and timeless pieces that bring out the confidence of a woman. This season Naeem uses black and white in his impeccably tailored cocktail suits, sophisticated dresses and cashmere separates. In the mix he puts in intricate floral embellished with beads. You can see his collection on socialites and celebs like Paticia Clarkson, Marcia Gay Harden, Beyonce, Anh Duong, Princess Aga Khan, and Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos attending black tie events.
Venexiana is a collection by Hungarian designer Kati Stern. She began by creating costumes for the Carnevale in Venice, and then went on to launch her own line. Her collection embraces the color palette to the extreme using fuchsia, orange and yellow on many of her pieces. Only the brave can carry-off her style, for example Lil\' Kim wears Venexiana. Need I say more?
Reem acra is known for her gorgeous gowns detailed with intricate beadwork. The flow of her eveningwear collection of dresses is in the romantic tradition. Spring's collection has simple floral designs in earth tones with hints of shine. Celebs like Halle Berry, Jennie Garth, Star Jones, Melissa Joan Hart, Shoshanna Lotstein, and Christina Applegate have been known to adorn her gowns. Luca Orlandi is the designer for Luca Luca best known for clothes that are sweet and cute without being too precious. The line is best-loved for the sexy shapes and bold selection of separates appropriate for the office. His loyal followers are Nicky Hilton, Serena Williams, and Rachel Roy-not to mention Miss USA and Miss Universe, Akiko Ogawa's style shows lots of range from the school girl theme to the serious business woman. Spring season's collection consists of structured trench coats and feminine dresses with frills instead of the tier look from last Fall's collection. All in all, her collection keeps that girlish charm to it and is sure to make heads turn. These are only some of the many talented designers I've been lucky enough to witness their extraordinary showcase. Now with the longing days of autumn and winter upon us, it would be extremely difficult to hold back the urge to flaunt their Spring 2007 styles. But of-course, I can always strut down the streets with the designers' Fall 2006 Collection.
